iPhone · card P28
Everything is huge and I can only see part of the screen
That’s Zoom. Double-tap with three fingers to zoom back out, then turn Zoom off in Settings if you don’t use it.
Use this when everything is suddenly huge, you can only see part of the screen, and you can’t move around.
Double-tap the screen with three fingers held together. The screen zooms back out.
To stop it happening again: Settings › Accessibility › Zoom, and turn Zoom off.
If you need to move around while zoomed in, drag with three fingers.
Done when
Icons and text are back to their normal size.
Good to know
Zoom is a magnifier for people who need it. If you’d simply like bigger text all the time, use P01 Make the text bigger and bolder or P02 Make everything on screen bigger instead.
Stop here if…
three fingers don’t work and you can’t reach Settings — a computer with Finder or iTunes can switch Zoom off. Ask your helper to look up Apple’s article “If your Home Screen icons are magnified”.
